More clouds!!

So what is the big deal with clouds you might ask?. I felt the same way before, i realized the true character of clouds. They seem to have a mind of their own, creating art in the vast canvas called as Sky. The clouds have moods too, a few here and there white and gentle, symoblizing peace and serenity, And then you have dark almost black clouds with their very threatening look to wreck havoc on the unsuspecting.
Then you have all the other shades in between from blue to red to pink during sunsets and sunrise, each day its different and each time you capture it, it is a very satisfying experience. Dont you agree?

Is he worried abt the Digital divide?

I thought i will leave it at that, but the caption does give a lot of room for misinterpretation. He should be worried abt the digital divide, but he is not, simply because he does not understand the significance of it. While rich countries are getting richer poorer countries are becoming poorer. Where is the end to this problem? And we as the citizens of the global village, what can we do to prevent that? I leave it at that, if you think something can be done. Leave your comments below.

Hmmmmm, yes i am back, been a crazy few weeks at work, finally managed to squeeze out some pictures. Mostly art work around Esplanade. I am not a big fan of "Modern Art", simply because i dont understand it and i dont want to pretend that i understand it. But yes, people have spent a lot of time and effort into creating something new and different, that is something to be appreciated So there you have it!!

Clouds

I had to do this. Shut the sun off, though not completely. You can see it peeping from the bottom, just enough to give the right warmth and not too strong to overshadow the clouds. This is probably the best shot of the evening. Man, i am getting better at this.

Stick one to the sun.

Frankly nothing beats taking a beautiful shot of the sun. No, i am not telling you that this is a beautiful shot, but its an attempt. The one of the natural things that you will always want to capture in your camera. The clouds, the time of the day, the position everything make a difference. This was taken at around 7 in the evening, with shutter opening set 1/2000 of a second, still the sun has over shadowed everything else. Need to work a little more on my camera. hmmmmmmmm.

Panorama of downtown Singapore

How dou you like it?, this is actually not one photo. This is 6 photos combined together by using Photo Stitch to create this view of down town Singapore. This is my first attempt, no its my second attempt, the first one sucked big time. So this is the first postable image that i got. All the images are shot handheld without a tripod, So there is still room for improvement. Keep visiting,I have a few more shots taken today. Will post them soon.

The reason for this onslaught of pictures in my blog. Yes, i bought a new camera. Its a Canon S2 IS. Pretty nice eh?, So i am going around shooting all different places around here. And here is Singapore. Still working on the panorama shot, have not gotten it perfect yet.
I want to specialize in two areas, Macro photos and panorama views. Till the time i get to the bird park its not going to be macro shots. So keep visiting.

On a totally unrelated topic. Why google why?, They have this fantastic application called as Hello, which i use to publish my pictures directly from my laptop to my blog. But there is no option to add text to the image other than a caption. If i can add some description to the image it will be a welcome addition. If google is listening, please implement this in your next version of Hello!!.
